Hoeppner Returning

IU head coach Terry Hoeppner will be back with the team after missing all of spring training, the Indiana University Athletic Department announced. Coach Hoeppner has been absent from spring training with problems associated with the brain surgery he had performed in 2006. Interim head coach Bill Lynch will remain coaching with the team until Hoeppner's return.

I'm actually a little skeptical about whether leaving spring training in the hands of Lynch is a good thing. He covered two games last season, the Southern Illinois and Connecticut games, and what I saw was pretty pathetic. We lost both games (excuse me, he lost them) to sub-standard teams. If we won just one of those games we would have been in a bowl game. Thanks, Lynch.
